Dorely has been working with owner, Brittany Brauer, for over 2 years. She began her interest in dog training 12 years ago when she got a mastiff puppy. She knew that she needed professional assistance to make sure she raised and trained him right. She hired a local training company and started learning how to better manage her huge dog.
After he passed, she began her search for a new companion. Once she found her little bundle of blue pitbull puppy, Fumo, she immediately began training and socializing him. She knew that she would be fighting a lot of stigma because of his breed, and wanted to be as responsible as possible. She began seeking out various group classes from numerous trainers in town just to have new ways of practicing his social skills and new behaviors. She then stumbled upon Brittany Brauer and knew her journey would change.
Over the course of the next 2 years, Dorely poured blood, sweat and tears into learning new skills with Fumo as her service dog and competitive sport dog. They began participating in dock diving, toss and fetch disc league, rally obedience, TV commercials and more.
Her interest and love of all things dog training and behavior continued to grow until she could no longer deny her true passion. She has since began working with Puppy Sense as an instrumental part of the company. Her primary focus is on board and training, as well as assisting in our free weekly socialization classes.
Dorely has attended many dog training seminars, including Reducing Conflict Between Human/Dog Relationships via Training Between The Ears. She is also an Associate Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals.
